Recupere Metals Raises €5m to Drive a Sovereign Copper Supply for Europe

Today is an important milestone for us.

Recupere Metals has raised €5m to help build a sovereign copper supply for Europe.

We started Recupere Metals with a mission to support solve the copper supply gap: electrification is accelerating, but Europe remains heavily dependent on imported copper and energy-intensive smelting. At the same time, large volumes of copper scrap are under-used, exported, or down-cycled.

“Copper is essential to electrification, but Europe is dangerously exposed to global supply shocks,” said Katie Marsh, Founder and CEO of Recupere Metals. “Our technology allows us to turn existing scrap into high-performance wire domestically, creating a cleaner, more resilient copper supply for Europe.”

Our team has developed a way to turn 100% recycled copper scrap directly into electrical-grade wire, without mining or smelting. This creates a new domestic supply route for critical applications like EV motors, wind turbines, data centres, and industrial equipment.

This €5m seed round, led by SISTAFUND with support from Norrsken Evolve, Endgame Capital, Ring Capital, Triple Impact Ventures, Ventures Together, Earth Capital and business angels, allows us to move from lab validation into early industrial deployment. Our focus now is scaling production, running customer pilots, and focussing on delivering our first industrial volumes.

We’re grateful to our investors, partners, and early customers for the trust and collaboration so far. Building resilient, circular materials supply chains in Europe is hard work — but it’s essential, and we’re proud to be part of it.
